Brinnon Shrimpfest  is now FjordFest

In 1993, a small group of community volunteers held the first Shrimpfest as a community celebration of the Hood Canal Spot Shrimp. After several years the festival grew, adding out-of-town vendors and entertainment. With this shift, a Non-profit Emerald Towns Alliance (ETA) was created to operate the annual festival. Profits from the festival would go to community non-profits in need of financial assistance.
Over the years, many organizations have benefited from ETA funds, such as the Food Bank, Boys Scouts, School Scholarships and the Essential Supplies Program (ESP) through World Vision.
